What's your current opinion about Yoseob and the 'verbal accident' about international B2UTIES ?

Simply that it was a faux pas. Nothing bad, but  irritating. The real problem is that whatever they say or write in Korean will be immediately translated into other languages and now that Cube has decided to work abroad this has a lot of influence on the band reputation.

Korean idol artists make very little money out of their songs in Korea; Yoseob, who is a well known singer makes about 10,000 USD a year out of the CD sales. Abroad, due to different contracts they make ten times more. Last year he got almost 100,000 USD out of non Korean sales. The same happens with endorsements and sponsors. Thailand and China for instance are a real gold mine for them. No matter how much he loves Korea, it’s not his homeland that will make him rich and money matters. Where money comes from? The fans of course. What motivates the fans to spend? Being loved and treated as the special one. Beep beep, red alarm! There Yoseob’s post becomes important: he said that he missed his Korean fans and missed Korea. Fair enough, no problem with that, but what came out to fans was that KB2uties have a bigger place in his heart and blatant lie that he ate only instant rice, tuna and a little seaweed abroad…

OMG Yoseob! It is a fact the Spanish staff in Spain (who works directly for Cube FYI) did the impossible to feed them the best food, Spanish, Japanese and Korean and always have their favorite drinks available. All the hotels they stayed in all over the world have real restaurants and serve full breakfasts… The toothpaste part was simply… ouch… Seobie next time bring your own toiletries… About the water, Europe is known worldwide for having the best spring mineral waters. I can picture hordes of French fans running after him holding 1 liter bottles of Perrier. lol

Bottom line is that Korean Entertainment Companies must groom their artists better before sending them abroad, they can’t take for granted they can all magically adapt to all these new markets.

PS: You all know how much I like Yoseob, this doesn’t change my opinion of him a bit, just I think he should learn to measure his words better.
